Impressed with Gandhian philosophy, he began to analyze the realities and actualities of tribal society in the context of development, he decided to select journalism as his profession. In 1989, he started his carrier as stringer of The Hindustan Times. Continued to pen down, in Hindi and English, the basic issues concerned with tribals, environment and human rights without any bias and fear. Specially, the issues raised by him, has been ruling the roost.

Laid the foundation of Sulaxmi Lok Sansthan in 1996. Since then, he has been contributing his services to the philanthropic sector. In course of intensively interaction with tribals as the active volunteer on Sulaxmi, Kishore completed a lot of research works concerned with the agony of the aboriginal. His some research articles are worth noticing: The Sexploitation of Oreads, A Journey to Jadugoda, The Disappearing Fountains, Bio-diversity--- No More, Tribals--- After Independence, The Pain of Tribals, Displacement, Unemployment and Exodus--- Whose Agenda?

Kishore tries his best to disclose the true relation among Satta (Power), Samaj (Society) and Sanskrity (Culture). The bloodbath of Central Jharkhand negates the slogans of social justice. A prostitute becomes the life partner of a dare devil boy Vikas exclaims the readers. The scene of Bastar in the Kaleidoscope of a journalist is not the presentation of the glorious pixes of this tribal land but Kishore discloses the reality of Bastar as what happened there after independence.

Along with the tribal kids of Kaimur, Kishore used to enjoy with the natural beauty, get pleasure from the dancing peacocks, wracking estamen-coloured clouds, dizzling of rains. He would satisfy himself with the fresh water of springs. Kishore collected honey and sugary fruits in the dense forest. He also used to bring tiny parrots from the cavity of trees and face the anguishes of mother. Amarendra decided his aims and direction of life in the lap of nature. That is why, he became uneasy after seeing the plight of Kaimur. He wishes to do something for the betterment of this holtscape with the association of locals & yokels, government and foreign funders. Associated with Sulaxmi, he is tying his best to translate his dream into reality.

AZADI AUR ADIVASI is a saga of the tribals' real identity in India. Tribes of India--- the most aboriginal ones--- are still chained while the country attained independence exactly 50 years back.

PAANI KI AAS is the second essay collection of Amarendra Kishore, in which he raises the issues of tribals and natural resources.

SATTA, SAMAJ AUR SANSKRITI Amarendra Kishore is a man of idealist nature. He prefers to write his experiences, which he perceives. As he has vivacious foothold in grassroots, that is why his writings is the stark naked facts of remote areas. He has neither fear, nor bias to inscribe the actualities and realities of these surroundings.
