Sulaxmi has completed more than 150 research, documentation, land and community based action oriented projects. Today, number of highly motivated and skilled professionals under Sulaxmi’s periphery are working in the remote villages and slums of India. Sulaxmi professionals, divided into 8 teams, work with over 1,870 families in 90 villages across nine of the poorest states in the country including in Delhi, Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, UP, Orissa, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, West Bengal and also outskirts of NCR. Different activities such as technology transfer in agriculture, medicinal plant cultivation,  reproductive health, women empowerment, rural housing, folkloristic research of different communities and conservation and promotion of bio-diversity, organic farming, conservation of traditional knowledge capacity building of grassroot NGOs and etc. are being undertaken. As thrift for micro-finance is the core activity of Sulaxmi, thus, several works in this sphere like awareness about banking in unbanked population, motivation for banking habits, formation of Self Help Groups and Joint Liability Groups are being done. In addition to this developing linkages between SHGs and banks, JLGs and micro-lenders, monitoring over the group survival and performance, maintenance of data-base of groups’ habits and loan tracks etc. are the day-to-day activities of the NGO. Sulaxmi also takes care of the end utilization of disbursed funds, so that it should not go for daily consumption or alcohol etc. Rather it should uplift our agri-life, women status in the society, working capital for their daily earning sources.
